by | Sep 14, 2026 | Spotlight

Margaret moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, in May of 1994 after graduating from Indiana University School of Law. Although not a native Michigander, she has made West Michigan her home for the past 32 years. She and her husband have four adult children.

Margaret has had her own law practice for the past 23 years. Throughout her career, she has specialized in mediation, family law, child welfare, and juvenile justice. Margaret has a passion for working with children and families. She has represented hundreds of children in abuse and neglect, delinquency, and high-conflict divorce cases. It is through abuse and neglect cases that Margaret became acquainted with CASA. Margaret has worked on cases with many CASAs throughout her career and feels the work of CASA is crucial to creating the best possible outcomes for children in unthinkable situations. Margaret has been a fervent supporter of CASA for over 20 years. Serving on the board was a natural next step.

Margaret loves to spend time with her family and friends. Travel is her most beloved pastime. She also enjoys reading, yoga, and hiking.
