Who Volunteers

People just like you.

You don’t have to be a lawyer or a social worker to advocate for a child. CASA volunteers are full- and part-time professionals, semi-retired and retired educators, stay-at-home parents and college students. They come from every race, ethnicity, culture and socioeconomic status under the sun. They are as diverse as the children CASA serves.

What they all have in common is an extraordinary passion for the rights of children. They believe that every child deserves a safe, loving and permanent home. And they are willing to speak up for abused and neglected kids who too often fall through the cracks of our overburdened family court system.

CASA volunteers say they get enormous satisfaction from their work. There’s nothing like the feeling you get when you help a child overcome the traumas of their past and build a better life. It’s an investment that pays dividends for generations, as a child who escapes abuse and neglect is more likely to provide a stable home for their own children.
