Fall Into Foster Care
Several West Michigan organizations are joining forces to raise awareness about how community members can get involved in supporting foster youth in Kent County. Fall Into Foster Care will take place on Tuesday, November 10 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Together Church, 2950 Clyde Park Ave SW, in Wyoming. No registration is required.
Currently, there are around 500 children in foster care in Kent County (DHHS, September 2026). Kent County’s foster care agencies and the Kent County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) consistently struggle to license enough foster homes to meet the community’s needs.
Each of Kent County’s private foster care agencies will be present at the event, along with Kent County DHHS and other organizations that support the foster care process. Representatives will share information and answer attendees’ questions in person.
