Amy Smith
Advocate Supervisor
The admiration and gratitude the CASA staff has for their volunteers feeds my enthusiasm to advocate for the most vulnerable in our community. I enjoy coaching volunteers to reach their full potential as we link our efforts towards helping children to thrive. My background includes coordinating a neighborhood service center for low income families, and working with the family self-sufficiency program at the Grand Rapids Housing Commission. Most recently, I recruited blood drives for Michigan Blood, until I felt the tug on my heart to return to working for child welfare.
I live in Grand Rapids with my teenage daughter and our cranky kitty, Lo.
