Cars for CASA

When Executive Director Stephanie Sheler received a call asking if CASA of Kent County would like to be the charity beneficiary of this year’s Ervine’s Auto Show, she thought it sounded like a great idea. Little did she know just how much fun it would be.

On September 17, 2022, after months of planning and teamwork, CASA staff members gathered with the Ervine’s Auto Repair and Grand Rapids Hybrid team to kick off the first auto show since before the pandemic. Guests got to see many unique and classic cars, enjoy donuts and coffee, and learn more about CASA, of course! The children who attended had fun with CASA tattoos, chalk, games, and prizes. CASA staff members even received fundraising help from some young friends who volunteered to sell bracelets for donations to CASA.

Thanks to Ervine’s Auto Repair and Grand Rapids Hybrid, more community members are aware of CASA of Kent County and its mission. Stephanie shared, “Ervine’s leveraged their business and their connections in the community to showcase CASA and spread the word about our work.” Thank you, Ervine’s, for helping us further our mission to give every child a voice!
