Advocate Supervisor

 CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Kent County is the only local volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens to become appointed members of the Kent County court system to act on behalf of abused or neglected children as they pass through the family court system.

We are currently looking for a full-time Advocate Supervisor. This person provides professional support and supervision to community-member volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children who are wards of the court. The Advocate Supervisor ensures that children who have been assigned a CASA volunteer receive sound advocacy and early permanency planning. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Volunteer supervision and retention
  • Volunteer recruiting, screening and training
  • Collaboration with other stakeholders on child welfare cases
  • Reporting and data management 

 Professional education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to social work, human services or criminal justice
  • Experience working with and supervisin gvolunteers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with all stakeholders on a case
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Curiosity and initiative
